In less than two months, Rebecca Black's Friday has become a huge viral video and hit single. However, it's also become the all-time, most disliked video on YouTube, according to BuzzFeed.
With over 73 million views, though, who's laughing now?
Even though Friday has over 1.4 million "dislikes," Rebecca Black has banked in an estimated $25,000 from digital sales alone, according to a Billboard report from last week. And don't forget the licensing fees rolling in to Rebecca Black and her label, Ark Music Factory, from New York Yankee Curtis Granderson using the song as his at-bat music.
What's strange, though, is the lack of ads on the YouTube video and page. Whether it's Ark Music's own choice to keep the video clean of ads or YouTube denying them partnership, Rebecca Black and Ark are missing out on some serious cash.
Nevertheless, Rebecca Black has become a viral star, and who can argue with her? Friday's are indeed for "partyin.'"
